【摘要】:Uponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifieduponagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4119exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoversknittedfabricscomprisedofanytextilefiberormixtureoffibers,usedinmen''sandboy''sdressshirts.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletoknittedfabricsusedforinterlinings.1.3Theserequirementsapplytoboththelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
