【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistostandardizethemeaningandderivationofsometermsandindexesthatarecommonlyusedtocharacterizetreadwear.5.1.1Thereisnointenttorecommendeitherofthetwotreadwearperformanceindexes:distanceperunitlossoftreaddepthorlossoftreaddepthperdistanceunit.1.1ThispracticedescribestheelementarylinearregressionanalysisofbasictreadweardataasobtainedaccordingtoTestMethodF421andTestMethodF762.1.2ThebasictreadweardataareobtainedasgroovedepthlossmeasurementsbyproceduresdescribedinTestMethodF421afteraseriesoftestcycles(testdistancesunderspecifiedconditions)accordingtoTestMethodF762.1.3Alinearregressionanalysisisperformedfortherelationshipbetweenaveragetiretreaddepthandthetestdistancetraveledbythetestvehicle,onwhichthetesttiresaremounted.Fromthisanalysisarateofwearisdetermined:groovedepthlossperunitdistance.1.4Lineartreadwearisdefinedasanessentiallyconstantrateofwear,afterbreak-in,whichresultsinalinearregressioncoefficientofdetermination,R2,equaltoorgreaterthan0.95whenobtainedforadatasetwherethenumberofmeasurementintervals,n,isatleast3.Eachmeasurementintervalrepresentsaspecifictestdistance.1.5Thispracticeisnotapplicabletothepredictionoftreadlifefortiresthatexhibitnon-linearorirregulartreadwear.1.6EvaluationparametersaregivenforbothSIandinch-poundunits;eithermaybeused.Theevaluationparametersasdefinedareonestypicallyusedinthetiretestingindustryandnospecialclaimismadeforsuperiorityoftheseparametersandtermsoverothertermsandparametersthatmaybedeveloped.
