【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverstheclassification,materialsofconstruction,workmanship,minimumphysicalrequirements,andmethodsoftestingglass-fiberreinforcedpolyesterplasticpanelsintendedforuseinconstruction.Panelsforspecializedoruniqueapplicationsmayrequirevaluessignificantlyaboveorbelowthosestatedinthisspecification.RecommendedpracticesforcertainspecificapplicationsareincludedasAppendixX1.Thisspecificationisnotintendedtorestrictorlimittechnologicalchangesaffectingperformancewhenthosechangesareagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Supplementaryinformationonchemicalresistance,resistancetoheat,andinstallationpracticesareprovidedinAppendixX1.Theclassificationoftheseplasticpanelsintotypesbasedonrelativeresponsetoalaboratorytestshallnotbeconsideredafirehazardclassification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseinTablesandFigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.Laboratoryflammabilitytests(TestMethodsD635,D1929,D2843,andE84)applicabletothisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthesetestsmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section8ofthisspecification.Thisspecificationdoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisspecificationtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
